Power shutdowns do not impact open enrollment and new student registration
Posted 10/28/19

Open Enrollment and New Student Registration begin October 28. There have been many questions about the impact of the power outages, resulting in all of our schools closing temporarily.

We'd like to emphasize that Open Enrollment and New Student Registration are NOT "first-come first-served" processes. The application window is October 28 - November 29. All applications received by the last day will enter lotteries together with no priority based upon date submitted.

For new families, it is fine to wait until your school of residence re-opens in order to get and complete a registration packet, which becomes Step 1 of 2 if you are going to also apply for open enrollment.

Current families can go directly online to apply for open enrollment any time between Oct. 28 - Nov. 29.

For questions or assistance with Open Enrollment or New Student Registration, the NVUSD Enrollment Center is open:
